Project Werewulf is a 3D adult third person survival sci fi horror game with a female protagonist. Story driven linear gameplay with semi-open world elements.
Kidnaped and imprisoned heroine in a cruel facility far away from civilisation, lurked by a werewolf who following her to the prison and hell comes with him.
Can she escape from the prison, and she will be able to find out, why the werewolf following her?

The funny thing about my version of the game is that it doesn't start but at some point an error message appears behind the window, and when I look under AppData/Local/Project Beowulf the game hasn't even created this one (ProjectWerewulf_PCD3D_SM6.upipelinecache). Please link your version of this file
Please tell me what was that error message. Also please tell me your PC specs for further help.
If UE does not generated that file could means your GPU does not supports DX12 or you are missing some pre-requirement like latest GPU driver or latest visual C++.
Game won't launch. Just gives a black screen and "Not Responding" in task manager. Already tried updating UE5 and have the most recent nvidia driver. RTX 3070. Previous version ran fine.

This is an UE related issue.
On every startup UE generates a file ( ProjectWerewulf_PCD3D_SM6.upipelinecache ), and sometimes the engine failes to generate it correctly.
To solve it go to "User/Appdata/Local/ProjectWerewulf" folder, and delete "ProjectWerewulf_PCD3D_SM6.upipelinecache" file, then restart the game.
Hello I've tried both the itch and steam versions of your demo and I can't get it to run. Every time I press new game it freezes for 20 minutes then crashes. I'm using to lowest settings and should be within the system requirements.

Two possible reason to have this issue:
1. Your rig does not met the minimum requirement.
2. You are missing some of the UE5 requirements, like latest GPU driver, diectx or visual studio.
Please go to "Steam/steamapps/common/Project Werewulf/Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us" and double click on "UEPrereqSetup_x64", it will install the latest visual studio and directx. Also please make sure you have the latest GPU driver installed.
Is the transforming mechanic going to get expanded upon in the future? It seems odd that the only way to turn into a werewolf yourself is a very specific situation in the prison escape part of the game. Would be very cool to see that get expanded more or be something that happens in the normal mode of the game if you lose to the alpha or something. Either way, really cool game so far and looking forward to future updates. ^^

For now in the demo this is the only way to turn into werewolf. In the final game it will be also "controlled", story oriented. The reason is, because the levels has to be designed directly to Jessica if she is a human or if she is a werewolf. Mixing that would ruin many game mechanics. But you will have the chance to play as a werewolf more in the final game.

That's fair. I can see how it might be difficult to design the levels around being able to play through them as a human or as a werewolf.
One interesting option could still be to see a lycan or werewolf transformation occur as a sort of a bad end/game over state for a sex scene if you're defeated in combat or by a specific enemy, after which you'd have to reload back to a checkpoint. Just a thought, personally I felt that having it be a chance based thing in the prison was a really cool idea and could make for a cool "game over" type scene at least.

Depends which one.
1st level: Cryo chamber, dead Hazard guy
2nd level: By the dead Special Force guy
5th level: in the bathroom next to the dead women.
Wow. This is a really well done game.
My PC did not handle it very well, as I was running slightly less than minimum requirements, that aside, I was able to play the first stage.
A few critiques I would add would be:
A better aiming system (maybe even first person).
Ability to change camera angles more for the "werewolf scenes" (if you know what I mean ;) ).
Bigger flashlight spread.
And alternate arrow key options for movement (but that's mostly because my pc is broken and I can't use the "D" key or afford to replace it).

Im pushing up now a demo update in this moment where i have improved performance and aiming, and added new melee enemy and a few small event.
Arrow key options - and many more feature - will be available in the next bigger demo update at Fall.

Looks good and I encourage you to continue making this game but definitely has flaws from what I could see in the videos.
The sound effects were not good.
The transformation itself wasn't too much too look at. The transformations from the game "Don't even Think" were pretty good. (Example)
I'm just saying the TF seen could use some work. The women screaming was a nice touch though.
I think the werewolf form needs to be taller. Bigger. There has to be a logical reason why clothes rip apart
And the enemies we fight seem too weak. Fight as a human or werewolf doesn't matter because you can literally kill any enemy with just one hit.
Despite the issues, I do encourage you to continue. There is really not a lot of good werewolf games.
One last thing I tried to download the demo on steam and its not working. I tried to download here but it claims to take a day or two to download. That can't be right.

First thing first, comparing an indie game with a AAA PS game is not really a good point in the case of transformation. In Project Werewulf i am morphing the character in real time, but i wont add more effect, because i dont really like the too much shiny vfx. Her body also change into more muscular/bigger, but She is a women, i dont want to make Her a giant.
Also, i have different type of werewolves, Half-Lycans, Lycan in my game, im going to the more "human looking" direction.
Combat in werewolf form: Yes, it looks easy, because in human form Jessica will be really vulnerable , but She is powerful in werewolf form.
Dont really understand what that means "Steam version not working". Not working how and when? More then 20k people downloaded it, and nobody reported any issue like this. Also, without more information i wont be able to help.

I mean, you can try, with the new patch i have improved the performance, but i doubt it would be enjoyable. The minimum requirement is 16gb RAM, and 4gb VRAM.
But demo is free, so give it a go. :)
